Journal Value Project

JVP: Welcome

The Journal Value Project is a database to collect cost and valuation data for journals in all areas of the sciences and social sciences. The original 2979 titles for which data was collected in 2001, were chosen by UW Madison science selectors as a representative group to showcase high profile journals and the varying practices among publishers in each subject area. For 2004, data for 2835 serials has been added. This represents all titles which ISI tracks and to which UW Madison Libraries has access via an aggregator, a gift or a subscription.
